Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything

Country music singer/songwriter Kylie Ryan hails from the northern NSW town of Inverell. She was raised in Wagga Wagga and Chiang Mai before settling in Sydney.

Not born into an instrument wielding, musical family Kylie, who has always been a writer be it stories, poems or songs, remembers from a young age being captivated by the radio and drawn to her parents' and other family members LP vinyl collections instead. The likes of the Beatles, Queen, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, John Denver, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton are some early childhood memories and Kylie credits her aunt and uncle for instilling in her a love for country music.

Kylie spent several of her teenage and early 20s years working in a leading music retailer where she got to learn several different facets of the music industry while meeting and hosting some of the big names in the industry at the time including Mariah Carey, Boys II Men, James Reyne, Diesel, Human Nature and LeAnn Rimes. Having a family quite young put a temporary hold on the singer/songwriter's dreams but now a wife, mum and with qualifications in music theory and performance from WSI Entertainment (Nirimba) behind her, Kylie is ready to embrace her music career with open arms.

These days her influences include several of the big names in country music, US chart toppers including Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum and Florida Georgia Line as well as home grown Aussie artists, McAlister Kemp, Casey Barnes, Travis Collins and Amber Lawrence. Kylie's debut single Got Me In was released in July 2017 and was well received and gained national airplay across Australia and internationally. Her second single Slow Me Down is due for release mid-September while the forthcoming EP, Dream Chaser will be released in mid-November 2017.

I found out there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way...
